When your carburetters arrive they are inspected by one of our trained technicians and allocated a place in the reconditioning queue.
Once at the front of the queue they are taken into the reconditioning department where the carefull strip down begins.
They are stripped right down to the very last nut,bolt & washer before being hand cleaned. From there they go into an Ultra-Sonic bath, after that they are gently blasted back to their original finish. At the same time the dashpots are cleaned along with all the other parts ready for polishing and plating.
The bodies then have their flanges re-faced to make them flat again. The spindle wear is rectified by either bushing or fitting an oversize spindle (were available & posible).
From there the reassembly begins with all new seals, gaskets, jets, metering needles and needle valves & seats.
Fully assembled carburetters are then thoroughly checked and many are run on our test engine before being cleaned and packed ready for despatch back to you.
Replacement Parts & Additional Extras:
Any parts that do not meet our standards will also be replaced, on occasions an extra charge will be made for this if they are above our normal reconditioning service.
Dashpots are polished on Jaguars & Aston Martin SU carburetters but not unless requested on most other carburetters.
